Make Do and Mend: How to repair holes in denim jeans - Workshop

The libraries in your local area are a great source of education.  Here is a workshop that is being run out of the Customs House Library.

According to the website... Master basic hand sewing, mending and altering skills with experienced designers, seamstresses and teachers from the creative workshop, Sew Make Create.
Become a sustainable consumer by learning how to repair and modify clothes instead of throwing them out. This new series runs for 12 weeks, with 3 weeks per topic including a workshop and demonstration in the first week, followed by 2 sessions to test out your new talents. For the follow-up sessions, you’re encouraged to bring in your own pieces of clothing to repair and mend.
How to repair holes in denim jeans... Save your favourite pair of jeans by learning how to repair holes and worn patches.

Workshop: Thursday 28 June 12pm to 1pm

Bring in jeans with holes, rips and worn patches that need work or to get advice on.
Practice materials and tools are supplied for workshops, but bring your own items you’re looking to repair to the meetup practice sessions. A small selection of coloured threads and buttons will be available, or you can bring your own.
This free series is suitable for anyone wanting to upskill their sewing, including complete beginners. Bookings recommended for each 3-week session block.
