Madge's Scone Recipe




I love Madge's scones as they only have 4 ingredients in them, and they always taste so yummy! So my friend Sonia and I thought we would have a crack at her recipe.

Ingredients:
2 cups self raising flour
2 pinches of salt
150 mls cream
150 mls water

Method:
Sift flour and salt into a bowl.
Add cream and water and mix with a knife.
Do not overmix.
Turn out onto a floured board and knead.
Flatten to about 1 inch and cut out scones.
Place on a tray covered in baking paper.
Cook for about 15 minutes in a very hot oven.

Notes:
Madge looks at the scones after 10 minutes and if they are golden brown and the same on the bottom you can remove and place on a cake cooler rack.
