FULLY COMMITTED BY BECKY MODE AT THE ENSEMBLE THEATRE

If you are from out of town, or live under a rock, you may not have heard about one of Sydney's gems the Ensemble Theatre in Kirribilli.  My friend Cheryl took me to see Fully Committed at the theatre this afternoon - what can I say... it was brilliant.

The production is on until the 16th November so get in and check it out. The website is www.ensemble.com.au or you can call the box office on (02) 8918 3400.

This is what the Ensemble Theatre says about the show... Nobody wants to hear that a chef-hatted, multiple-award-winning, ridiculously trendy Woolloomooloo restaurant is fully committed and can't take a booking. When Sydney socialites and international A-listers wish to dine on the date they wish to dine on, it's harder to finesse than the perfect souffle.

In a dingy basement office far from the magic of molecular gastronomy, skillful reservationist Sam has to use her charisma and wits to keep an array of demanding characters happy... and most importantly, keep her job.

In an updated version of Becky Mode's Broadway smash, director Kate Champion and comedy chameleon Contessa Treffone join forces to serve up a hilarious and fast-paced take on our modern obsession with food.

The Ensemble Theatre is a great venue based in Kirribilli, founded in 1958 and is the longest continuously running professional theatre in Australia. It is on the edge of Sydney Harbour with sensational views - so go early, have a drink and enjoy. Surely that alone is reason to visit!

It was interesting to learn from the website that the Ensemble Theatre is committed to performing well-loved classics and new Australian works. Each season they pride themselves on delivering powerful, memorable and engaging live theatre of the highest standard.
