Many years ago when my children were young, one of them was running a temperature and just wanted to sleep in my arms, as a result I spent 3 days on the couch watching tv. The big win for the family was this recipe, Choc Snow Bombs, presented by Gabriel Gate, they are superb and not tricky at all.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
75 grams butter
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence/extract
1 cup icing sugar.
METHOD:
Combine flour, sugar, coca, baking powder and salt. Rub butter in well. Add beaten egg and vanilla. The mixture will be quite sticky, roll into balls, golf ball size and then roll in the icing sugar, generously. Do not flatten.
Bake for 10-15 minutes. Allow room for spreading, they should be of a brownie consistency when cooked, and the icing sugar should crack exposing the chocolate biscuit beneath.
